Blacksburg Insulation was founded in 2024 with one straightforward goal: give Blacksburg homeowners access to honest insulation work from someone who actually knows the area. Blacksburg sits at over 2,000 feet in the Appalachian mountains, which means colder winters than most of Virginia and homes that work hard just to stay comfortable. Many houses here - especially those built in the 1960s through 1990s near the Virginia Tech campus - are still running on the original insulation they came with. That material has settled, shifted, and often just worn out.
We started because we saw a real gap: homeowners who wanted straight answers about their insulation and a contractor who would show up, explain what needed to happen, and do the work right. Whether it is a crawl space under a ranch home, an attic in one of the older neighborhoods near campus, or a basement in a newer build, we have worked on all of it. We have spent time along the Huckleberry Trail corridor and in neighborhoods throughout the Blacksburg area.
