Blacksburg Insulation provides residential and commercial insulation services in Blacksburg, VA and surrounding communities in southwestern Virginia. Our services include, but are not limited to, spray foam insulation, attic insulation, crawl space insulation, blown-in insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, vapor barrier installation, and related work.
All services are subject to a written estimate provided before work begins. No work will commence without your authorization. Scope, pricing, and timelines are documented in writing for every project.
Estimates provided by Blacksburg Insulation are based on an in-person assessment of your property. Telephone or online estimates without a site visit are not binding. A written estimate is provided after the on-site visit and is valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise specified.
Final pricing may differ from the estimate if conditions at the site differ materially from what was observed during the assessment - for example, if hidden moisture damage, pest contamination, or structural issues are discovered once work begins. Any changes to project scope or price will be communicated and approved by the customer before additional work proceeds.
Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work areas on the scheduled date. This includes unlocking access hatches, clearing stored items from attics or crawl spaces as directed, and ensuring pets and household members are clear of work areas during installation.
For spray foam applications, occupants and pets must vacate the premises during application and for a minimum of 24 hours afterward, or for the duration specified in writing by the contractor prior to the project start. Failure to comply with re-entry waiting periods is the responsibility of the customer.
Payment terms are stated on your written estimate or invoice. Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing before the project begins. Blacksburg Insulation accepts payment by check, electronic transfer, or other methods agreed to in writing. Unpaid balances may accrue interest and may be subject to collection proceedings.
Blacksburg Insulation warrants that all work will be performed in a workmanlike manner consistent with industry standards. If a defect in our workmanship is identified within one year of project completion, we will return to assess and correct the issue at no additional charge, subject to the conditions below.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to water intrusion from roof leaks, foundation failures, pest infestation after project completion, structural movement, or modifications made by parties other than Blacksburg Insulation. Manufacturer warranties on materials are separate from and in addition to our workmanship warranty, and documentation of installed materials will be provided at project completion.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Blacksburg Insulation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our services or from your use of our website. Our total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific project. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
